Simon Jacob

Divisional Director South

Simon started his career at Gavin Jones in 2006 as a Contracts Manager covering the Essex and Kent areas.
In 2008, Simon was promoted to Area Manager for the South East before being promoted again to became Operations Manager for the Ground Maintenance Division in 2010.
In 2014, Simon was invited to join the board of Directors at Gavin Jones as Director of the Ground Maintenance Division.
Since the aquisition of Gavin Jones by Nurture Landscapes in 2018, Simon has become Divisional Director for the South, responsible for all Grounds Maintenance Operations at the Nurture Group.

Simon is passionate about developing people, ensuring exceptional customer service is delivered to our clients, and making sure quality is at the forefront of our philosophy.

Joel Woolrich

Director South Central Region


Joel manages the operational performance of landscape maintenance teams in the region to provide a top quality service to all our clients. He is an experienced manager, having previously held senior roles with national landscape contractors where he secured a BALI award for a leisure and hospitality project. Joel studied Business Management and Horticulture and is a BASIS trained consultant on the safe use of pesticides.

Stephen Packman

Regional Manager


Steve manages several high profile corporate static contracts with full time site-based teams. Sites managed include business parks, chic shopping villages and hotels with a strong emphasis on quality, environment and health and safety. Steve began his horticulture career as a gardener before moving into management with a series of national contractors, winning numerous BALI awards. He is closely involved with daily operations and enjoys being part of specialist horticulture and grounds maintenance business.

Conrad Saunders

Regional Manager


Conrad has been involved within the horticultural industry for 26 years.

During this time, he has carried out a variety of roles, from maintaining domestic gardens, to the trial grounds and theme gardens for Gardening Which? Magazine.

Conrad is Royal Horticultural Society and NEBOSH trained and has built up several other certifications over the years.

He is enthusiastic about his job and enjoys being part of a passionate team.

Jason Brown

Contracts Manager


Jason is responsible for a wide range of private and commercial sites across the South East. With over 10 years’ experience managing Regal, Private and Commercial Estates, wildlife and habitats are of high importance. Jason is focused on developing new prestigious sites and has a strong customer focus and flexible attitude to client requirements whilst building relationships and working within the team. Jason is currently studying to be a Bee Keeper and has various qualifications in land based machinery, horticultural and pest control.

Dan Hodkin

Contracts Manager


Dan now manages and supports a number of mobile teams in the South Central area as well as managing the static business park he worked at previously.

He has acquired numerous qualifications through the years, such as Sports Turf and Horticulture, MEWP and Telehandler to name a few.

Paul Judkins

Contracts Manager


Paul manages and supports a number of mobile teams throughout the South East, and London going as far west as Basingstoke.

Paul has over 20-year experience in the industry, starting as a gardener at Fanhams Hall in Ware, a Jacobean mansion. After joining Frosts, Paul became a Charge hand working on the University of Herts contract, covering all aspects of grounds maintenance; from tree and shrub management, to using ride-on mowers and marking sports pitches.

He currently manages a variety of contracts from environmentally friendly static sites to retail parks and corporate buildings such as Porsche Head Quarters in Reading, he also manages other services within his GM contracts such as drainage cleaning, lighting and latch way systems inspections.

He is enthusiastic and passionate in delivering a high quality of standards across all sites regardless of prestige and size.

Tom has a National Certificate and Diploma in amenity horticulture and landscape construction and has spent 10 years working in grounds maintenance, within both the public and private sector.

Bogdan Balut

Contracts Manager


Bogdan has over ten years’ experience in landscape industry. He has significant expertise and knowledge within the horticultural environment and manages several high profile and heavily populated sites in Central London.

His portfolio includes the landmark sites of Jubilee Gardens and Potters Field Park, as well as the luxurious residential site of Neo Bankside and the University Of London, amongst others.

Bogdan has Royal Horticultural Society training and has a NEBOSH Construction Certificate in Health and Safety.

Ben joined Nurture through the Eco Landscapes acquisition, and has over 10 years’ experience working within the grounds maintenance industry, working on a variety of sites including private properties, university grounds and commercial sites.

He started his career as a seasonal operative and gradually worked his way up through to the position of Contracts Manager.

Ben uses the knowledge and experience he has gained, to manage a number of teams working across the South region based out of our St Albans depot.

Craig Blackwell

Contracts Manager


Craig has 9 years’ experience in the field, starting his career as an operative then working his way up to assistant contracts manager in May 2017. He now has responsibility for managing and supporting our Hatfield depot; visiting the teams on a regular basis, overseeing and ensuring that all site schedules are met.

Craig also has responsibility for running a Christmas department; installing between 16-40ft trees; travelling across the country sourcing and installing the perfect tree for our clients, and managing large teams when installing bespoke Christmas Trees.
