Nurture Scoops Double Principal BALI Awards

Having beaten off fierce competition two Nurture projects were named Principal winners at the 2015 BALI awards. The Spring Restaurant at Somerset House in London secured Interior Landscape Installation and Capability Green Business Park in Luton gained Grounds Maintenance Limited Public Access.

The highly coveted Principal awards represent the highest achievement in each category. The success increases Nurture’s tally of Principal awards to four, and total BALI awards to 10.

Nurture worked with Jinny Blom Landscape Design on the installation of an interior planting scheme for Michelin Star winner Skye Gyngell’s new restaurant Spring at Somerset House. The concept was to have the feeling of sitting in a courtyard garden despite being located within the confines of the building. The restaurant has six large black olive trees along with vines and grasses to create a garden atmosphere.

Jinny Blom, Landscape Designer, said: “Working with Greg and the team at Nurture is always a great pleasure. Having the backup of extensive specialist industry knowledge combined with an extremely prompt and efficient service makes every project fun and relaxed. Their aftercare is also exemplary and clients quickly settle down and gain confidence in their consistent and proactive maintenance systems. I look forward to interior projects as a chance to work with Nurture again.”

Capability Green Business Park is a prestigious 60 acre office and corporate estate managed by Integritas Landscapes (acquired by Nurture in 2015). The three-man team manages all aspects of the site landscaping from winter gritting, keeping the stunning formal water features in fantastic condition as well as the usual grounds maintenance activities, which are all conducted to a high standard and to the landlords’ all-encompassing performance-based specification.

Richard Potter, Director, Capability Green Business Park said: “We are delighted to see that Nurture’s work in keeping the business park landscaping in tip top condition have been recognised at the highest level by BALI.”

Peter Fane, Managing Director of Nurture Landscapes, said: “BALI awards are the pinnacle of achievement for everyone involved in the landscape industry. Our teams work fantastically hard and I’m delighted their commitment has been rewarded. It’s especially pleasing to note that our success spans so many categories which demonstrate the strength in depth of the company.”
