Nurture in the limelight at Lord Mayor’s Show

A happy team of seven Nurture volunteers transformed an old transport lorry into a repainted, branded, innovative ‘moving garden’ float complete with lawns, flowers, foliage – and beehive, as well as two onsite florists!

Our brilliant floristry team created beautiful bouquets on the move as the float paraded from the City to Westminster. Members of the crowd were thrilled to receive bouquets and it gave Nurture Director, Greg Basire, a chance to talk about greening the city and the impact of improving biodiversity on harsh environments live on television.

Peter Fane, MD at Nurture Landscapes who has been friends with Charles Bowman, the newly appointed Lord Mayor since their university days, said:

“We were delighted to support the new Lord Mayor and his chosen charities, Samaritans, OnSide Youth Zones and Place2Be as part of the Lord Mayor’s Show. It was very exciting to see Nurture’s float pass by the balcony, and even more exciting to watch us on TV when I got home.”
