The Nurture Group commits to paying the Real Living Wage
Nurture Landscapes Holdings Limited, referred to as The Nurture Group, commits to paying the Real Living Wage to all staff over the age of eighteen (excluding apprentices).
The move to become a Real Living Wage employer epitomises our commitment to supporting our nationwide teams and enabling them to progress in their careers, including younger employees at the beginning of their career path.
Currently, The Nurture Group, employs around 1,360 staff working across Nurture Landscapes and Gavin Jones, maintaining over 12,000 customer sites. This saw around 470 of our staff move on to the real living wage, and an average pay increase of 5.31% for other operational staff.
The UK National living wage is set to increase to £9.50 for employees aged 23 and over from April 2022, but the Real Living Wage rate is currently £10.85 in London and £9.50 across the rest of the UK for all employees over 18, with new rates being announced in November for the following year. It is independently calculated according to the cost of living in a region, based on essential products and services people need to live comfortably.

Our teams work hard each day to provide the best service for our clients and ensure that each site is maintained to the highest possible standard, so it is only right that we as an organisation give them the recognition that their efforts deserve.

Though voluntary, the Real Living Wage is seen as an effective means of maintaining positive relations between employees and staff, while at the same time improving business reputation. Other leading corporations to have received Real Living Wage accreditation include Everton FC, Ikea, and Nestle.
